Artwork Inspired by Dogs, Ink, and a Little Halloween Mischief. This October, I’m taking part in two creative challenges: Inktober and Drawlloween! For Inktober 2026, I’ll be creating an A–Z collection of ink-based dog drawings, with a different breed representing each letter of the alphabet. Throughout the month, I’ll be exploring a variety of breeds, poses, personalities, and artistic ideas while challenging myself to create a cohesive alphabet of canine artwork. You’ll be able to follow the completed Inktober artwork on my Art Challenge Artwork page as the collection grows throughout October. I’ll also be celebrating Halloween with Drawlloween, creating a smaller collection of spooky dog-themed artwork. You’ll be able to find those pieces on my Seasonal Art page. Whether you’re a dog lover, a fan of Halloween, or simply enjoy following creative challenges, I invite you to join me throughout October and see what comes to life on the page. Thank you for being here and supporting another month of creativity and canine-inspired artwork!
Hi, I’m Justyn—the artist behind The Artistic Shepherd. October is going to be an especially fun month because I’m taking on both Inktober and Drawlloween. For Inktober 2026, I’m working my way from A to Z with an alphabet of dog breeds. Each drawing gives me the opportunity to explore a different breed while experimenting with ink and building a collection that celebrates just how varied the canine world can be. You’ll be able to find these drawings on my Art Challenge Artwork page throughout the month. Alongside Inktober, I’m getting into the Halloween spirit with Drawlloween. Instead of another full month-long list, I’ve chosen a smaller group of ideas that combine my love of dogs with classic Halloween imagery. My Drawlloween plans include Werewolf Shepherd, featuring a shepherd transformed into a furry werewolf; The Headless Dog Walker, where a mysterious headless figure walks a shadow hound through the night; Cerberus Trick-or-Treating, which gives the legendary three-headed hound a much more playful Halloween adventure; and Dog-O’-Lanterns, featuring real jack-o’-lantern pumpkins carved with designs inspired by different dog breeds. I’m also creating a special Halloween version of The Artistic Shepherd logo, transforming the shepherd mascot into a werewolf while keeping the familiar navy blue, red, yellow, and blue color scheme. All of my completed Drawlloween artwork will be featured on my Seasonal Art page. Together, the two challenges give me very different ways to celebrate October: Inktober lets me explore dogs from A to Z, while Drawlloween lets those dogs enter a world of werewolves, monsters, pumpkins, candy, and Halloween fun. Thank you for supporting my artwork and following along with my creative journey. I’m looking forward to seeing everything that comes to life this October. Have a happy Howl-o’-ween! 🐺🎃🖋️
