Own a piece of the artwork that began my Dogust 2026 journey. Piper's Gentle Gaze is a limited edition fine art print of my original mixed-media portrait featuring my family's beloved dog, Piper. Created for Dogust Day 1: Mutt, this artwork celebrates the gentle spirit, loyalty, and unique beauty of mixed-breed dogs.

The original artwork was created using mechanical pencil, kneaded eraser, watercolor pen, and acrylic paint pen, then professionally edited in Snapseed for accurate digital presentation. Every limited edition print faithfully reproduces the textures, expressive linework, and vibrant colors of the original artwork.

Unlike open edition prints, these limited edition prints will only be available in a predetermined quantity, making them a more exclusive opportunity for collectors. Once the edition sells out, no additional limited edition prints of Piper's Gentle Gaze will be produced.

Whether you're a dog lover, a collector of traditional artwork, or someone who enjoys meaningful animal portraits, this limited edition print is a wonderful way to celebrate the beginning of my Dogust 2026 collection.

About the Artwork

Piper's Gentle Gaze was inspired by my family's dog, whose calm personality and expressive eyes made her the perfect subject to begin this year's Dogust challenge. My goal was to create a portrait that not only resembled Piper but also reflected the warmth and companionship that dogs bring into our lives.

As the first artwork in a month-long series of thirty-one canine portraits, this piece represents both a personal tribute and the beginning of an exciting artistic challenge.
