Step into the golden warmth of the harvest with Golden Harvest Companion, a Cocker Spaniel brought to life within a wheat field-inspired Settlers of Catan hex. This piece captures the gentle spirit and expressive charm of the breed, paired with the symbolism of growth, provision, and abundance represented by the wheat resource.

Created using Stuart Semple Super Base, White 2.0 acrylic paint, and finished with a protective mattifying membrane coat varnish, this artwork blends bold acrylic techniques with fine detailing from POSCA paint pens. After the traditional process was complete, the piece was digitally refined using Snapseed and Procreate, transforming the original hex into a clean, high-quality print.

As part of The Artistic Shepherd’s ongoing Catan-inspired series, each hex represents a different resource and corresponding canine archetype. The wheat fields are embodied by loyal, companion-oriented breeds—making the Cocker Spaniel a perfect symbol of warmth, companionship, and life’s daily provisions.

Whether you're a board game enthusiast, a dog lover, or a collector of unique art, this print brings together storytelling, craftsmanship, and heart.
