A vibrant Shetland Sheepdog stands as guardian of the pasture in this Settlers of Catan-inspired sheep hex artwork—perfect for dog lovers and board game fans alike.
Step into the lush, rolling pastures of Settlers of Catan with Pasturebound Shepherd, a custom hex artwork featuring a joyful and watchful Shetland Sheepdog—a breed known for its intelligence, loyalty, and natural herding instincts.
This piece represents the Sheep/Pasture resource tile, where grazing lands and gentle blooms meet the steady presence of a true pasture guardian. The Sheltie’s expressive face and confident stance bring warmth and personality to the scene, while the vibrant green grid background echoes the structured beauty of the Catan board.
Created using a blend of traditional and digital techniques, this artwork was hand-painted with Stuart Semple Super Base, White 2.0 acrylic paint, and finished with a protective mattifying membrane coat varnish. Fine details and bold outlines were added with POSCA acrylic paint pens, then enhanced digitally using Snapseed and Procreate to produce a crisp, high-quality print.
Whether you’re a Catan enthusiast, a dog lover, or a collector of unique art, this piece brings together strategy, storytelling, and craftsmanship in one eye-catching hex.
