Watercolor Bernese Mountain Dog Art Print by Justyn Simon

A Bernese Mountain Dog pushes steadily through a cold stream, paws braced against the current. Wading Forward captures a moment of quiet endurance—movement without urgency, strength without spectacle.

This piece was created using traditional watercolor techniques, with salt applied to the wet paint to form organic textures in the flowing water. An acrylic paint pen border frames the scene, grounding the composition while preserving the looseness of the medium. The result is a balance of motion and stillness, texture and restraint.

Wading Forward is a reflection on persistence—continuing onward even when the path resists. It’s a calm, contemplative work suited for collectors who appreciate narrative-driven animal art and traditional mixed-media processes.
