This original drawing was created as a personal exploration of scripture through animal imagery. I’ve always enjoyed drawing animals—especially moments where instinct, care, and movement tell a deeper story. When reading Alma 14:29, I felt inspired to interpret one of its most vivid idioms literally and allow the imagery to guide the composition.
📖 “…even as a goat fleeth with her young from two lions.” — Alma 14:29
This one-of-a-kind piece captures a moment of urgent protection and flight, where a mother’s devotion carries her and her young forward. The energy of the hand-drawn line work and layered color reflects the immediacy of the verse—symbolizing strength granted in the moment of need and deliverance through faith.
