There’s something powerful about bringing multiple stories together into a single image—and that’s exactly what inspired this piece.

Abstract Pack: Ten Dogs in One Vision is a mixed media artwork that blends realism, abstraction, and storytelling, featuring ten distinct dogs unified through layered shapes, bold color, and expressive composition.

This piece isn’t just about drawing dogs—it’s about exploring how individuality and unity can exist in the same space.

🎨 The Artistic Process

This artwork was built in layers—both physically and creatively.

Traditional Foundations

The process started with:

• Mechanical pencil for structure and form

• Kneaded eraser for shaping light and depth

From there, I added:

• Acrylic paint pen for bold outlines and contrast

• Colored pencils to build depth, texture, and color harmony

Digital Refinement

After the traditional phase, I used:

• Snapseed

• Procreate

These tools allowed me to refine contrast, unify tones, and enhance the final presentation—without losing the integrity of the original hand-drawn work.

🕒 Total Time Invested:
About 8.5 hours of focused work, spread across a month. This slower pace gave me time to revisit the piece, refine decisions, and let the composition evolve naturally.

🐕 The Meaning Behind the Piece

At its core, this artwork reflects a central idea behind The Artistic Shepherd:

No Tail Left Untold.

Each dog in this composition represents a different story, personality, or perspective.

Some are clearly visible.
Others are partially obscured.
Some overlap, intersect, or blend into abstract forms.

That’s intentional.

Because stories—like people, like journeys—aren’t always isolated. They overlap. They influence each other. They create something bigger when seen together.

🎯 Abstract Meets Realism

One of my goals with this piece was to push the balance between:

• Recognizable forms (realistic dogs)

• Expressive design (abstract shapes and color fields)

The circular elements act as visual anchors—almost like windows into different moments—while also disrupting the expectation of a traditional composition.

The result is something that can be viewed in two ways:

1. As individual dogs with distinct identities

2. As a unified abstract design

🐾 Closing Thoughts

This piece is part of a larger journey—building a body of work that blends dog art, storytelling, and creative exploration.

Every artwork I create is another step toward that vision.

And like this piece shows…
there’s always more than one story being told at a time.
