There’s something timeless about snow globes. They capture a moment, suspend it in quiet motion, and invite you to pause for just a second longer than you normally would. That feeling is exactly what inspired Swiss Shepherd in a Christmas Snow Globe.

This artwork features a calm Swiss Shepherd standing peacefully as snow falls gently around them, contained within a glowing holiday snow globe. It’s a reflection of stillness, comfort, and the quieter moments of the Christmas season—those moments where everything feels calm, even if only briefly.

Watch the Art Process

Here is a link to a short video showing part of my drawing process for this piece, set to soft Christmas music. I love sharing these quiet process moments—they’re a reminder that art doesn’t always need to be fast or loud to be meaningful.

About the Artwork

This illustration was created as part of my seasonal holiday artwork, where I focus on cozy winter scenes, gentle storytelling, and dog-inspired imagery. Swiss Shepherds, with their calm presence and gentle strength, felt like the perfect subject for a peaceful Christmas scene like this one.

The goal wasn’t to create something flashy, but rather something soothing—art that feels at home during the holidays and still feels comforting long after the season has passed.
