One of my goals for The Artistic Shepherd has always been to make it easier for visitors to discover the artwork, videos, and creative projects that interest them most. As my collection continues to grow, I've been working on refreshing the homepage with a new set of illustrated navigation buttons that are both functional and visually connected to the artwork they represent.

Each button features watercolor-inspired artwork, a consistent design style, and colors chosen to match its category. Instead of simple text links, these buttons serve as miniature pieces of art that help guide visitors throughout the website.

🐕 Shop Dog Art

The Dog Art button highlights one of the largest collections on my website. Featuring a cheerful Golden Retriever wearing a green bandana, this button represents my growing library of breed artwork, portraits, whimsical canine illustrations, and other dog-inspired creations.

Whether you're searching for your favorite breed or simply love dogs, this section is designed to make finding canine artwork easier than ever.

🐾 Shop Dogust Art

Dogust has become one of my favorite annual art challenges. This button features an energetic Golden Retriever splashing through the water, perfectly capturing the excitement and creativity behind the challenge.

Visitors will be able to quickly browse artwork created during my Dogust projects, celebrating dogs through daily artistic prompts.

✝️ Shop Religious Art

Faith has always been an important part of my artistic journey. The Religious Art button features a glowing cross overlooking a rocky hill beneath dramatic clouds, representing artwork inspired by Christianity and my beliefs as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

This section includes scripture-inspired artwork, religious illustrations, and pieces focused on hope, faith, and the Savior.

🎨 Shop Art Challenge Art

Throughout the year I participate in numerous creative challenges that encourage me to experiment with new ideas, styles, and subjects.

The Art Challenge Art button represents collections such as:

• Blooming Marvelous May
• Miniature May
• Aqua January
• Huevember
• Acrylic April
• Drawcember
• Dogust
• Future creative challenges

Rather than searching through individual blog posts, visitors can browse challenge artwork from one convenient location.

🏰 Shop Barker's of Ruin

One of my most ambitious long-term projects is Barker's of Ruin, an original fantasy card game and world featuring dogs, strategy, adventure, and storytelling.

The castle-themed button reflects the fantasy atmosphere of the project and serves as the gateway to artwork, card designs, world-building updates, and future releases connected to Barker's of Ruin.

🎥 More Videos

Creating artwork is only part of what I enjoy sharing. I also love documenting the creative process through videos.

The More Videos button makes it easy to discover:

• Drawing timelapses
• YouTube Shorts
• Behind-the-scenes videos
• Audiobook illustrations
• Creative updates
• Tutorials and future video content

Whether you're interested in seeing how an illustration comes together or following my latest projects, this section brings all of my video content together.

Designed to Be Both Beautiful and Useful

Rather than relying on plain website buttons, I wanted every navigation element to feel like part of the artistic experience. Each design uses:

• A watercolor-inspired aesthetic
• Color palettes matched to the category
• Large, easy-to-read typography
• Simple icons that reinforce each section
• Consistent layouts across the homepage

The goal is to make exploring The Artistic Shepherd feel intuitive while giving every major section its own visual identity.

Continuing to Grow

As my artwork continues to expand—from dog portraits and flower studies to religious illustrations, genealogy-inspired artwork, fantasy projects, and art challenges—I'll continue refining the homepage so visitors can quickly find what they're looking for.

These new navigation buttons are another step toward making The Artistic Shepherd a place that's enjoyable to browse, whether you're visiting for the first time or returning to see what's new.

Thank you for following along on this creative journey, and I hope these new additions make exploring the site even more enjoyable!
